Dance Out - Mitcheldean Festival and Fete
Summer continued at pace. and our next dance out was at the Mitcheldean Fete and Folk Festival. We were joined by Red Stags all the way from Southampton as well as our local friends Lassington Oak for a short tour around the town ending with a mass dance of Bonnie Green Garters at the White Horse. The dance space on the playing fields is huge, and is good experience for how to fill a large space whilst still making the dance look good. #Duel #DIY #Windmills #TatteredCrow #Mit

Dance Out - Lassington Oak Day of Dance and the Midsummer Fiesta
The 1st of July was a busy day as it contained the Lassington Oak 40th Anniversary Day of Dance around Gloucester and Cheltenham, as well as the Midsummer Fiesta. We joined Lassington Oak for one spot on the Promenade in the centre of Cheltenham during the afternoon. After about an hour's break for hydration and ice creams, we had moved across town to Montpelier Gardens to take part in the Midsummer Fiesta. We got a half hour long dedicated spot at the bandstand to dance in f

Wimborne Minster Folk Festival 2017
In June, we headed down to Wimborne Minster for their annual folk festival. We spent a nice relaxed Saturday on the campsite and enjoying the town and festivities. Then, on the Sunday, we took part in the morning service on the minster green, followed by several spots around town. We also got a chance to dance with Anonymous Morris, the side who we learnt Duel of Honour from. We duelled them for the right to continue dancing the dance, and comported ourselves with honour. We

Dance Out - Bradford on Avon Day of Dance
Travelling down the M5, we visited Bradford on Avon for their Day of Dance. We had the joy of a spot with no other side present, and then a heavy rain shower curtailing events a couple of hours early. We did take the opportunity to get some good video footage, including an exclusive Bank Holiday edition of DIY. #BradfordonAvon #Windmills #MDSquared #TatteredCrow #Duel #DIY #RainRainGoAway

May Day - Dancing on May Hill 2017
Darkness enveloped us as we climbed May Hill at some ungodly hour to allow us to join other local sides in dancing up the sun on the morning of May the 1st. We managed a three couple Duel of Honour, arranged in a circle around the band, and two sets of DIY side by side. #Maymorning #Duel #DIY #TatteredCrow

Dance Out - Stroud Wassail 2017
Our numbers growing, we accepted an invitation to join in with the Stroud Wassail to debut two new dances - Tattered Crow and D.I.Y. and give some of our members their first dance out with us. A number were either too ill to attend or ill and attended anyway, and so the origin of one of our nicknames - The Nurgle Plague Dancers was born. We managed to capture some footage of this auspicious day. #Stroud #DIY #Duel #TatteredCrow #Wassail
